This Christmas we’re reminded of the coming of Jesus and the hope we have for a restored, just world. Yet against that background of hope, we're painfully aware of the grip that hunger, poverty, and injustice still hold on many. A major cause of hunger and poverty is gender inequality, with 60% of chronically hungry people being women and girls. Women and girls are also disproportionately affected by disasters and by climate change.
